International scientific cooperation: FAPESP and Research Councils UK

International collaboration is an important part of FAPESP’s strategy, and is encouraged by means of several instruments, such as joint research applications, exchange programs, and the São Paulo Schools of Advanced Science (http://www.fapesp.br/en/6812). A broad range of agreements between FAPESP and research funding agencies, universities and research institutes, and companies offers opportunities for researchers in São Paulo, Brazil, to collaborate with colleagues elsewhere around the globe. The agreement between FAPESP and the UK Research Councils (RCUK) aims to support joint research projects submitted by researchers in São Paulo and their colleagues in the United Kingdom.
